Over the weekend, a young boy was safely rescued at Hersheypark theme park in Pennsylvania after he was spotted walking along the park’s monorail track.
Witnesses quickly alerted park staff when they noticed the child in the restricted area. Security and ride operators acted immediately to stop the monorail and ensure no trains were operating in the boy’s path. Emergency personnel and park employees were able to reach him safely and bring him down from the elevated track without injury.
The incident drew concern from visitors, but many expressed relief and gratitude for the swift response that prevented what could have been a serious accident. Hersheypark officials have not released further details about how the boy accessed the track but confirmed that he was returned safely to his family.
The park also emphasized its commitment to guest safety and said additional measures are being reviewed to prevent similar incidents in the future.
