Authorities in Crittenden County confirmed the discovery of a man’s body in West Memphis on Monday morning, August 25, 2025.
According to the Crittenden County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO), the body was located around 7 a.m. by workers performing routine grass-cutting along Waverly Road. The workers noticed something unusual in a roadside ditch and, upon closer inspection, discovered a deceased individual. They immediately contacted law enforcement.
Deputies responded quickly, secured the scene, and launched an initial investigation. The deceased was later identified as 39-year-old Troy Lee Curruth. After verifying his identity, CCSO confirmed that no signs of foul play were present. Authorities have stated that the death is not considered suspicious, though the case remains under procedural review pending final documentation.
