Authorities in Crittenden County confirmed the discovery of a man’s body in West Memphis on Monday morning, August 25, 2025.
According to the Crittenden County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO), the body was located around 7 a.m. by workers performing routine grass-cutting along Waverly Road. The workers noticed something unusual in a roadside ditch and, upon closer inspection, discovered a deceased individual. They immediately contacted law enforcement.
Deputies responded quickly, secured the scene, and launched an initial investigation. The deceased was later identified as 39-year-old Troy Lee Curruth.
