The community of Temecula and the Southern California soccer world are grieving the heartbreaking loss of Mina Sabet, a talented athlete and beloved member of SoCal Reds FC, who tragically lost her life in a car accident on August 23, 2025. Her sudden passing has left family, friends, teammates, and coaches devastated, as they remember a young woman whose presence radiated resilience, energy, and unwavering positivity.
Mina was more than a gifted soccer player—she was a source of light and encouragement to everyone around her. Her teammates recall her as someone who uplifted others, both on and off the field. Whether celebrating a hard-fought win or offering comfort after a tough loss, Mina’s spirit was one of unity, strength, and compassion. She led with heart, inspired with action, and always made space for others to shine.
Born and raised in Temecula, Mina was known throughout her community for her kindness, determination, and vibrant personality. She balanced her athletic pursuits with academic excellence and was actively involved in youth mentorship programs, often volunteering to coach younger players and advocate for girls in sports. Her passion for soccer was matched only by her love for people.
Mina’s legacy will live on in the lives she touched, the teammates she inspired, and the community she helped build. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 30, at Temecula Valley High School Stadium, beginning at 6:00 p.m., where family, friends, and fellow athletes will gather to honor her life and celebrate the joy she brought to so many.
