I can’t believe I’m writing this because my heart is shattered beyond words. 💔 Last night, my dad passed away peacefully, surrounded by all of us who loved him the most. While it brings comfort to know he is no longer suffering, the pain of losing him is something I can’t even begin to describe.
My dad was so much more than just a father to me—he was my very first dance partner, my very first best friend, and truly one of my biggest supporters in life. As a kid, if I got myself into trouble, there was a good chance he was right there with me—either in it alongside me or secretly cheering me on. That was just who he was: fun, mischievous, loving, and always by my side.
He had a way of making everyone feel cared for and included, and he lived his life with a strength and humor that touched everyone around him. Even in the toughest times, I could always count on him, no matter what.
Though my heart is broken, I find peace in knowing he left this world on his own terms—free from pain, surrounded by family, and with so much love in the room. I’ll carry his laughter, his wisdom, and his unconditional love with me for the rest of my life.
Thank you to all who prayed for him and supported our family during his journey. Please continue to keep my mom and all of us in your prayers as we try to navigate this unbearable loss.
Dad, I know you’re up there now, beer in hand 🍻, surrounded by old friends from the Shore Mall Tavern, telling stories and watching over us. I love you forever and I miss you endlessly. Until we meet again—rest easy, Dad. ❤️🙏
