In Loving Memory of Judith Ann Goodwin
Judith Ann Goodwin peacefully left her earthly body on Thursday, August 21, 2025, at 8:39 a.m. Born on April 8, 1939, in Peoria, Illinois, and raised in Canton, Illinois, Judi lived a full and meaningful life rooted in love for her family, service to others, and a deep appreciation for the arts and nature.
She was preceded in death by her beloved grandparents, George and Muriel James; her devoted parents, Marshall and Melba Hudson; and her cherished sister, Karen Welton. Their memories remained close to her heart throughout her life.
Judi pursued her calling in healthcare, graduating from OSF’s ORT program and ICC’s nursing program, with further studies at ISU. She served as a private scrub nurse for the late Dr. Harry Ores, where her dedication and compassion touched many lives. Later, Judi expanded her career with TWA and American Airlines after moving to Orlando, Florida, embracing adventure and connection wherever she went.
Her greatest joy was her family. Judi is survived by her loving children, Robin Fuller, Kendall (Lisa) Fuller, Allyson (Chris) Keister, Wendy O’Connor (Jeff Martin), and Melissa Goodwin; along with 10 treasured grandchildren who brought endless pride and joy into her life. She also leaves behind her three sisters, Sally (Ray) Morse, Becky (Steve) White, and Pam (Chuck) Patterson, as well as many nieces and nephews who will fondly remember her warmth and kindness.
Judi’s heart was also filled with a love for beauty and creativity. She adored her Westie, Lola, and found peace in her flower garden, delighting in the hummingbirds and wrens that visited each year. A lover of the arts, classical music, and genealogy, Judi dedicated time as a docent at both Lakeview Museum and Loch Haven Museum of Art in Orlando, sharing her passion and knowledge with others.
Her final wishes were honored with cremation rites, and she requested that no services be held. The family would like to extend heartfelt gratitude to her caregiver, Misty Kennedy, whom Judi considered a member of the family.
Judi’s legacy will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who were fortunate to know her. She will be remembered not only for her devotion and strength but also for the beauty, love, and grace she brought into the world.
