It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Alec Meyer, age 27, who left this world far too soon on August 10th, 2025. Alec’s departure has left an immeasurable void in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Born and raised in Draper, Utah, Alec carried a vibrant spirit that brightened every room he entered and touched countless lives with his warmth, humor, and infectious energy.
Alec was the cherished son of Jeff and Susan Meyer, who describe him as a compassionate, spirited, and fiercely loyal young man. Alongside his parents, Alec is survived by his best friend Brittany, who shared many unforgettable moments of laughter, adventure, and steadfast friendship with him.
The love and connection Alec cultivated with those closest to him was a hallmark of his life, reflecting his generous heart and unwavering devotion to the people he loved.
A proud graduate of Juan Diego Catholic High School, Alec was a member of the Class of 2016 and a lifelong participant in the Skaggs Catholic Center community. His years at Juan Diego shaped not only his academic and athletic pursuits but also his enduring faith and commitment to community.
Those who knew Alec at school remember him for his spirited presence, dedication on the lacrosse field, and the kindness he showed to peers, teachers, and teammates alike. As a talented lacrosse player, Alec demonstrated both skill and sportsmanship, earning admiration for his teamwork and leadership.
Friends, classmates, and community members are invited to celebrate Alec’s remarkable life on Tuesday, August 26th, at 7:00 p.m., in the Chapel of Our Lady of Guadalupe at Juan Diego Catholic High School.
