A man and a woman in their 30s were critically injured in an alleged shooting during an attempted break-in at a property on Fisher Street, Rochedale, early this morning. Emergency services responded just after 4:30 a.m., finding both victims with multiple gunshot wounds.
They were rushed to Princess Alexandra Hospital in critical condition, later reported to be in stable, non-life-threatening condition.
Queensland Police say two male suspects attempted to break into the residence before shots were fired. The offenders fled the scene on foot.
A crime scene has been established, and police are appealing to the public for any information, CCTV, or dashcam footage from the area around 4:00 a.m. on August 2. Investigations remain ongoing.
