Originally from Lima, Ohio, Danielle attended Shawnee High School, where she was known for her intelligence, curiosity, and bright spirit. From an early age, it was clear that Danielle had a gift for connecting with people—listening, supporting, and encouraging those around her with genuine care.

That passion guided her academic and professional journey as she sought to build a career centered around service and healing. Danielle’s educational path was as dynamic as her personality.

She studied Psychology at The Ohio State University, gaining foundational insights into the human mind and behavior. She went on to attend the Dayton School of Medical Massage, becoming certified in therapeutic massage—a skill she used not just to relieve physical pain but to comfort and calm those in her care.

Later, she returned to school to deepen her impact on the world. Danielle pursued Chemical Dependency Counseling (CDCA) and was working toward a Bachelor of Social Work at Sinclair College.

She believed deeply in second chances and was determined to be a voice of compassion and guidance for individuals struggling with addiction and mental health challenges. Her studies reflected not only academic ambition but also a heartfelt mission to be a source of healing in her community.

At La Soupe, a Cincinnati-based nonprofit organization that rescues food to nourish the hungry, Danielle found the perfect intersection of her passion for service and her love for people.

As a Shift Supervisor, she was a dependable leader, known for her strong work ethic, sense of humor, and unwavering kindness. Danielle was instrumental in the daily operations of La Soupe’s mission, helping to transform rescued food into nutritious meals for those in need.

Her coworkers describe her as uplifting, resilient, and deeply committed to the cause. She was more than a supervisor—she was a mentor, a friend, and a steady presence who brought heart to every shift.

Those closest to Danielle remember her as someone who lit up every room she entered. She had a vibrant laugh, a free spirit, and an empathetic soul. She cared fiercely about her friends, her family, and the communities she served.

Danielle believed in people—especially those who had been overlooked or written off. She made it her mission to remind others of their worth and potential. Though her time on this earth was far too short, Danielle lived with purpose and passion.

She was constantly evolving, always learning, and never stopped striving to make a difference. Her journey reflected immense courage: to change paths, to pursue healing, and to dedicate herself fully to lifting others up.

Danielle Brownlow’s passing is a tragic loss for Cincinnati, for La Soupe, and for the field of social work she was entering with such promise. But her memory will live on in the meals she helped create, the people she comforted, and the lives she touched through her compassion and perseverance.

She is survived by a circle of family and friends who loved her deeply and believed in her dream to make the world a better, kinder place. Funeral arrangements will be shared at a later dat
