Jessica Garcia West Chester PA Obituary – Jessica Garcia Death – Jessica Garcia, 2024 Graduate of Rustin High School Passed Away

With heavy hearts, we announce the untimely passing of our beloved Jessica Garcia-Pascual, who left this world far too soon on June 28, 2025, at the age of 19.

Jessica, affectionately known as “Jessy,” was born on October 23, 2005, in West Chester, Pennsylvania, and was the treasured firstborn of Anayeli Pascual and Humberto Garcia.

From the moment she entered our lives, Jessica radiated light and joy. Each morning began with the sweet words “Good morning, sunshine”—a cherished family ritual that captured the essence of her warmth.

As the first child on both sides of the family, Jess was doted upon by grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Her early years were filled with laughter, games, and countless memories made while watching her favorite shows like Dora the Explorer, The Backyardigans, and Hannah Montana.

Jessica’s academic journey began at St. Agnes Countdown to Kindergarten, followed by time at Chester County Family Academy and Glen Acres Elementary School, where she explored her musical talents through violin and trumpet.

At Fugett Middle School, she ran cross country and began cheerleading, setting the foundation for her vibrant involvement at Rustin High School, where she earned multiple Honor Roll Certificates and actively participated in clubs like the Black Student Union and Walk Her Home.

A passionate learner and community-minded leader, Jessica also attended various camps including Brandywine Red Clay Alliance, Chester County Art Association, and Camp of Light.

She found joy in volunteering at St. Agnes Dorothy Day Center, helping families in need, and later at Westside Community Center, which became a second home.

Through programs like Reimagining Academic Dreams (RAD), Girls Night, and Bible Study, Jess formed meaningful relationships, developed confidence, and ultimately returned as a volunteer to give back to the place that had embraced her.

Determined and independent, Jessica worked in her family’s restaurant and landscaping business, and later at MAS Mexican Bar and Grill, all while maintaining her studies. Her ambition led her to earn her bartending license, a testament to her tenacity and commitment to personal growth.

In 2024, Jessica achieved one of her proudest accomplishments: being accepted to Temple University, where she successfully completed her freshman year and looked forward to a bright future.

Beyond her accomplishments, Jessica will be remembered for her generous heart, clever humor, and fearless individuality. She adored nature walks, Marsh Creek visits, Sixers games, beach trips, and holiday gatherings.

A self-proclaimed foodie, she had a special love for pozole, acai bowls, boba tea, and egg rolls. Her unique style and interests included Hello Kitty, anime, pottery, Y2K fashion, and floral tattoos—all expressions of her creative and soulful nature.

She deeply loved her pets—her bunny “BB” and cats “Boots” and “Beans”—and treasured her car and the personalized parking spot made with love by her father. Each tattoo Jess chose carried meaning, including one for BB and another honoring her late uncle Alfredo with his birth flower.

Jessica leaves behind her loving parents, Anayeli (38) and Humberto (39), and her cherished siblings, Alfredo (16), Sofia (11), and baby Olivia (2 months), along with a large extended family in the U.S. and Mexico.

A Viewing will be held at 1:00 p.m. followed by a Funeral Service at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at Providence Church, 430 Hannum Ave., West Chester, PA. Burial to follow at St. Agnes Cemetery. Guests are kindly asked to wear white tops, symbolizing peace and the celebration of her beautiful spirit.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Jessica’s GoFundMe (gofund.me/5a4bb4a) or to the Westside Community Center, where her legacy of love and giving will live on. Jessica Garcia-Pascual’s life, though brief, was brilliant. Her memory will remain forever etched in our hearts.
