Milwaukee Shooting: Shorewood suspect dies by suicide, officer and 2 others injured near East Kenmore Place in Milwaukee, WI

The suspect who shot and injured a Shorewood police officer and two others early Thursday morning has passed away.

The unnamed suspect was found dead with a gunshot wound to the left eye inside a parked vehicle near 5th and Reservoir in Milwaukee. According to the scanner, officers approached the suspect’s vehicle with an armored police car. He was found unconscious and not breathing inside the car.

According to the Shorewood Police Department, the first shooting happened around 2:51 a.m. on North Bartlett Avenue near East Kenmore Place. According to the investigating department, the officer was struck by the gunfire but was protected by bulletproof. The officer and the victims were transported to the hospital in stable condition.
